Christ Chapel Academy Robotics Programs

At Christ Chapel Academy, our robotics program is a vibrant, faith‑centered community where students grow in creativity, confidence, and Christlike character. Guided by our team verse, Proverbs 27:17 — “Iron sharpens iron” — students learn to support one another, challenge themselves, and use their God‑given gifts as they explore the world of STEM with purpose and joy.

FIRST LEGO League (Grades 3–5)

Through FIRST LEGO League, students are introduced to the exciting world of engineering and innovation. Throughout this year‑long program, students design and program LEGO robots, research real‑world problems, and develop teamwork, integrity, and curiosity. FLL includes weekend competitions beginning with a local qualifier and the opportunity to advance to the Virginia State Championship at James Madison University. Our FLL teams have earned recognition for Core Values, Robot Design, and Judges Awards—celebrating their teamwork, creativity, and dedication.

VEX Robotics (Grades 6–12)

Our VEX Robotics program allows middle and high school students to dive deeper into engineering, coding, and strategic problem‑solving. Students build custom robots from the ground up while learning leadership, perseverance, and collaboration in a supportive, Christ‑focused environment. VEX is a year‑long program with weekend competitions and opportunities to travel to events across multiple states. CCA teams have qualified for the Virginia State Championship two years in a row, and students also strive toward invitations to the U.S. Robotics Open and the VEX World Championship.

Virginia’s First IRHS Chapter

Christ Chapel Academy is honored to be the first school in Virginia to establish an official International Robotics Honor Society (IRHS) chapter. This distinction recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in robotics along with leadership, service, scholarship, and Christlike character. Through IRHS, students gain new opportunities to grow, lead, and serve as ambassadors of excellence and faith.

CCA Robotics is more than a program—it is a joyful, Christ‑centered community where students build more than robots. They build friendships, confidence, and a deeper understanding of who God created them to be. We invite students and families to discover the excitement, creativity, and purpose found in robotics at Christ Chapel Academy.
