Frequently Asked Questions

Christ Chapel Academy (CCA) was established in 1992, as a Preschool and Kindergarten program. In 1994 the leadership of Christ Chapel Church approved the additions of grades 1 and 2 to the school program. Each year following 1994, one grade level was added. By 1998 the academy was occupying all available classroom space. Through prayer and careful planning, CCA was able to add a school wing to the building in 2000. The longtime vision of offering a complete secondary program at CCA was fulfilled in the fall of 2006, when the first 9th grade class was added and the second wing completed in 2008. We celebrated our first graduating class in 2009.

Our academy is known for its excellent academic offerings. Our High School has been chosen as a top High School in Virginia for many years due to our rigorous academics, dual enrollment program, 100 % on-time graduation rate, College/University acceptance, as well as our highly competitive athletics programs and fine arts programs.

Christ Chapel Academy is accredited by the Association of Christian Teachers and Schools (ACTS) whose accreditation process has been approved by the Virginia Council for Private Education as authorized by the Virginia State Board of Education. Christ Chapel Academy is also a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

Our rates are very affordable in the private school spectrum. We pride ourselves in paying our teachers very well, and any increases in tuition over time, go to insuring we continue that.

CCA is a fully secured and closed campus. Visitors to our building must be buzzed in through the front door. Our lobby has a secondary security door, meaning that visitors can’t move past the lobby area without being screened. CCA has 24/7 security cameras that monitor the entire campus and two full-time security personnel who make continuous sweeps of the campus, inside and outside, checking to make sure all doors and entryways remain secured, as well as monitoring all persons that enter our campus parking lots.

We have a Parent Association called P.A.C.E. where there are a wide variety of opportunities for parents to serve the school.
